How to set up backup of virtual machines in DropBox?
Good day, gentlemen.
Available:
Paid DropBox account
One Physical server with Hyper-V
3 virtual machines The
need to copy virtual machines to the cloud ..
So, the problem is that when placing virtual machine storage in a dropbox folder, hard drive files and some configuration files are not synchronized due to denied access. It is logical that the files are occupied by the hypervisor.
Actually the question is: how to copy them to dropbox without turning off virtual machines?
Unfortunately, there is no possibility to back up to another device / disk, so you need to go to the cloud.

Back up the machines with any utility to a temporary folder, which you already set up for synchronization with the dropbox.
Or, if there is absolutely no space, use some service, such as DropDAV. It implements a WebDAV interface to dropbox. Windows can connect WebDAV storages as a local drive. Connect WebDAV as a network drive, and set up backup to that drive.
