How to set up automatic shutdown of the interface when reserving a channel on mikrotik?
Hello! The situation is as follows: you need to set up an Internet channel reservation on the Mikrotik router (6.34) with automatic switching to the backup channel when the main one disappears, and switching back to the main one when a ping appears on it.
Everything is already configured with the help of ping routes (using Distance + Scope) everything switches perfectly and the routes replace each other when disconnected, but I ran into this problem:
When switching from a backup channel back to the main one, some of my devices (wifi, telephony) remain on the backup route and it is impossible to use them. When manually disconnecting the backup interface - everything returns to normal.
The network is for 30 computers, there are 2 solutions - either reduce the life of TCP connections to 1 minute (I'm afraid that the router will choke) or automatically turn off the backup channel when using the main one when pinging from the main one, and, accordingly, turn on the backup channel if there is no ping from the main one. I would love to hear any help on this.
