How to set up a web server at home?

You need to set up a web server at home, which will be used for testing scripts, as well as an FTP server. The scripts are not heavy, so large capacities are not required. My last "server" is an old computer. The problem is precisely in terms of convenience, since I would not want to install a massive case again, but a server one is an order of magnitude more expensive. I would like to hear what can be done at home for such purposes.

If you need a web server, run a virtual machine on your computer, and if you need a hardware solution, Raspberry Pi is also suitable for you. If you want to spin something powerful - assemble a small computer in an HTPC case. The price of such a solution is 5-7t.

Well, cheap and cheerful, this is a mother on miniITX with an integrated atom, 2 cores of 1.6 each. 1 bar of RAM, everything cost me 4tr, at our inflated prices. that was 4 years ago. Hard and BP was. Takes up little space.
And so, depending on what interests you, because keeping the server on the atom is not something, it is a bit slow.
If it’s just compactness and power, then on the same miniITX you can assemble it on socket 1155 or 1150, well, again, there are some drawbacks, 2 RAM sticks, 1 PCI-E, etc.
