Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS won't let me login via FTP?
The server does not let through FTP/FTPs. Tried installing ssh, vsftpd, proftpd. Reinstalled the entire server. In short, locally or via FIleZilla, when trying to connect, it asks for a login - yes, everything is fine, it asks for a password - yes, an error:
Locally via the terminal:
530 Login incorrect
Login failed
FileZilla:
Critical error: unable to connect to the server
What to do?

1) Forget FTP
2) SFTP (which is SSH) should work if SSH is working.
If the connection does not work via SSH - you need to specify how and where the server is configured, perhaps I am logging in exclusively by keys - then the password will not work.
If you have Ubuntu, then you do not need FileZilla - you can connect through any file manager.
