How to set up a material in Blender?

Greetings experts and pros, I have a question for you.

There are two meshes (simple planes), each has its own material with a loaded texture (JPEG files with numbers 1 and 2 for checking). They need to be merged. But when they are combined (via CTRL + J), the materials are mutually stretched to a new, enlarged area.

How to make materials lie still in their assigned faces, and not stretch? Screenshots for clarity - below: before and after combining meshes.

@Edwin_Petrovich

create unwraps for UW objects (pull textures onto these skis with them)))), and then do as following the link
