How to set up a DNS server correctly?

How to set up the correct dns server? I want clients to see the main computer both by IP and by domain name. There are windows server 2012 r2 and 2 network adapters (the first one for the Internet, another locale for distribution to clients)
Locale settings:

Ip 192.168.100.1
mask 255.255.255.0
gateway external IP Internet
dns 192.168.100.1 I

installed the forward zone and reverse lookup zone through the snap-in, in in the forward lookup zone in the name server, only the external address is visible, but the internal 192.168.100.1 is not visible, when added manually, it gives an error.
nslookup command Internet ip all OK
nslookup command 192.168.100.1 gives an error (*** UnKnown could not find 192.168.100.1: Non-existent domain)

There must be a reverse zone to the direct zone. In addition, clients need to send only your gateway and your dns via dhcp
