How to set up a DNS server (Bind9) under Linux so that one word domain name can be used?

Good afternoon, I installed a DNS server on the machine, configured it, but I just can’t figure out how to make the domain name be written in one word. There is a "local" zone , I wrote an entry there:
test IN A 192.168.1.36
When I enter nslookup test, it shows that the server was not found, but when I enter test.local, then everything is fine.
I tried to put a dot in the entry so that it was like this:
test. IN A 192.168.1.36
Still no result.
PS: I have seen such domains, as I understand it, this is some kind of alias, for the full name, I would like to do the same, for example, there is the full name part.example.com, but you can use part and the DNS server will find part.example .com

You need to create a CNAME record that will map the alias to the real name.
