Which minimalist Linux distribution should you choose?
I have been using ubuntu for about a year. After windows, I'm just delighted! I am friends with the console, I can write simple scripts in the bash.
But now extra details began to interfere with me, which not only distract, but also load my zenbook. I'm talking about the GUI. I decided it was time to take another step deeper into the world of linux.
I need a distribution that:
* uses the apk package manager
* has a very minimal GUI, or better yet, none at all.
* from the window manager you only need to switch with alt+tab
The main software I use is: sublime text editor, chromium browsers and sometimes firefox, open office, vlc mediaplayer, skype (brrr... the ugliest and most buggy app), sometimes gimp for graphics editing, dropbox as cloud storage. However, dropbox can be replaced with something if necessary.
Well, and another terrible application that you have to use - Upwork Team App ( https://www.upwork.com/downloads/new-team-application) - this is a must.
In addition to all this, I would like good documentation and a very professional community of the distribution.
Which linux distribution should you pay attention to?
I'm interested in arch linux. But I'm not sure if it's the best fit for my needs.

Well, put in Ubuntu any window manager you like and use it. Why the hell change the distribution for the sake of changing WM / DE? I don't know what is in trend now from "lightweight", but I would immediately dig in the direction of tile ones, such as i3 or awesome. I think you will like them.
Gentoo - you can cut off everything you don't need. If such a drastic step does not suit you, start with fluxbox/blackbox as your Desktop Environment.
I agree with Vadim K - Xubuntu has everything you need and no garbage.
