How to set up 2 monitors as two desktops?
I work on a laptop, sometimes I connect a second monitor. Without a monitor, I use the second desktop by swiping with 4 fingers on the touchpad, but when I connect to the monitor, everything that was on the second desktop remains there, and the monitor has an empty desktop. Can I somehow configure so that when the monitor is disconnected (connected), all applications that were open on the second monitor automatically switch to the second desktop (and vice versa)? That is, the physical monitor turns into a virtual one.

Each virtual desktop contains desktops for all monitors on the computer, and by switching virtual desktops, you switch them simultaneously on all monitors.
Through Win + Tab, you can transfer a window from one virtual desktop to another, but I did not find hot keys for transferring windows from one monitor to another, you need to drag and drop. I think theoretically, it is quite possible to write a service that will monitor the connection of an external monitor and transfer windows from the second virtual desktop to the current one on the second monitor and back, but I have not seen such.
