How to set connected devices limit on netgear vegn2610 router?

There is a netgear vegn2610
router. This is a home network, but guests come, they always forget the password, and we ourselves may not be at home, so we decided to keep access open.
Naturally, this attracts a lot of freeloaders from the surrounding dwellings.
In principle, we are not greedy, but when they are stuffed under the maximum capabilities of the router (12-13) and some of them start downloading movies and playing games, the decrease in Internet speed starts to strain.
It's not realistic to ban everyone by MAC address, they are new all the time.
I just wanted to lower the limit on possible connections , but I didn’t find how to do it anywhere on the Internet.
Essence: How to set the limit of connected devicesto a smaller number of connected devices and / or set priority to some (devices known to me, by MAC address, so that the maximum final traffic remains at the minimum I need?
Thank you

You can also reduce the power of the wifi antenna by "conditionally" 50 percent or less. I don't know if your router supports this feature. In the end, why not put the simplest password in the form of a mobile owner's phone, and hang it on the wall.
