How to send images in iCloud mail as attachments?

Good evening! I switched to iCloud mail about six months ago, I use Apple Mail as my mail application. Can someone explain why the function of sending images is so inconvenient (in my opinion) and has no alternative? What I mean is that the image is automatically placed in a large size in the body of the letter, instead of falling into the footer as an icon. Can we fix this? Alternatively, maybe this is solved by using a third-party mail application, since there seem to be a couple of good ones. And, does this affect how attachments will be displayed to the recipient? And as a sub-question, I would like to know the opinion of those who had experience, do you think the iCloud mail service is reliable and convenient in your opinion? In general, so to speak. Or is it more expedient to go to the generally recognized leader. Thanks in advance for

@Apollo432

because this client implemented it that way.
others will be different.
and if you want otherwise in applemail, zip them.
but who's stopping you from using another client?
