How to disable the need to click on the monitor to activate it on a mac?

I have a Mac with external monitors connected. The problem is that to activate the monitor, you need to click on it.
That is, if I'm working on one monitor and move the cursor to another where I need to click on a link, I have to click twice: the first time to activate the monitor and the second time to directly follow the link.
I would like, as in Windows, just move the cursor and click once.

Can't be changed. But there are a few workarounds. The simplest one is to do CMD + LeftMouseButton instead of clicking on an inactive window
