How to fix sound degradation in bluetooth headphones on macOS?

I connect the headphones and after a while of normal sound, something changes and they seem to go into headset mode (the sound becomes very bad, as if someone is talking on the phone)

Specify in the system settings as the sound recording device not the headphones, but the built-in microphone.
