Hello!
I have created a program useful for a specific audience (100-200 thousand people, maybe more), there are no competitors at the moment. There is a desire to make money on it.
I plan to organize copy protection on a client-server system based on licenses (license keys).
Question: Are there systems for selling software through your own site without intermediaries, with automatic licensing of buyers, or do you need to assemble it yourself? If not, then tell me where you can get information on creating such systems. And if anyone knows, please advise resources on copy protection. Thanks for the replies. =)

• If most of the program logic is on the server, then there is no point in somehow protecting the client, because without the server it is obviously useless. The client, on the contrary, should be distributed as actively as possible in the public domain to promote the entire project.
  
• If all the program logic is on the client, then no keys and no copy protection will help, hacking remains a matter of time. Such software was popular in the early 2000s, its time is long gone.

If this is your product:
1. Build for each customer based on their payment data with reference to the CPU ID (for a maximum of 3 PCs) during installation and send information to yourself.
2. Provide for the possibility of the Client transferring the software from one PC to another without your participation.
3. Automate this whole process and periodically change the key verification logic during product updates.
The relevance of the software should always be ahead of the time spent cracking the license.
Further - you can only deal with coding the product itself.
