How to secure a Debian file system on Windows?
Situation. There is a remote server that hosts Debian. I know the ip of this server. I myself am sitting at home on Windows 7. I want to secure a Debian filesystem from that server so I can edit the files. It seems to be somehow possible to do this using PuTTy, but so far I have not been able to do something.

Start with FileZilla and connect there using SFTP - SSH file transfer protocol.
You need to know the access parameters: host, user and password (or another option).
Then, you can connect through the console and do everything using commands, or you can use the GUI.
Console: The easiest way is to download git-scm and it's easy to connect through its console.
GUI: I choose WinSCP. Everything is very simple and clear and convenient.
