How to save a domain name?

Hello. My client has a domain name registered to him. The person who made the site for him registered the hosting for himself. This person is currently unavailable. My client wants to keep the domain, although he does not need the old site at all. Please tell me what to do in this case.

What is the problem? Write to the registrar or who maintains the domain. Transferred to another account.

Didn't understand something - if the domain name is already registered to the chela - what does he want to save something? Hosting? Don't need a website? So fuck hosting then...

If your client needs a purely domain, then let him live in peace and that's it. The main thing is to let him extend from his office.

There is a gap in the problem statement. Primary and Secondary DNS. Someone paid for them.
1) The client visits the registrar on the site and sees who supports the Primary DNS.
If this is not a registrar, we change the location of the primary zone and pay for the placement of the Primary DNS.
2) Secondary DNS. We pay for the Secondary DNS and indicate the necessary names and ip addresses
In short. You just need to disconnect the hosting ip address from the domain.

No additional action is required on the part of your client - once the domain name is registered to him.

So it is and so it is, nothing needs to be done

The domain can be parked to your hosting panel and let it lie down for now, just link a new name server
