How to run multiple instances of chrome with different profiles and have chrome portabled?
When you install Chrome on the system, it is installed in a wonderful folder, which is then very difficult to transfer to another system. To be able to quickly transfer all settings from system to system, you need to install the Chrome portabled browser and create several profiles.
Recommendations for creating profiles, I read, there are two options for launching the application from the shortcut
C:\Users\Serge\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe --user-data-dir=c:\Users\Chrome\Users01 \
and
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe --profile-directory c:\Users\Chrome\Users01\
If I install the portabled version, then the run command should look like this :
D:\_br\chrome\GoogleChromePortable.exe --user-data-dir=d:\_br\_vsport71\
Profiles should be separated into directories. That is, each profile must be stored in a separate directory
. We tried the --user-data-dir option and the --profile-directory option - they do not work.
There were no such problems with firefox, here is the construction
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" --no-remote --P "f_tulanabl"
It works, you just need to create a profile first, with a link to the directory.
However, lately, firefox has been acting weird... I wanted to organize all profiles using Chrome I
organize profiles to separate work functions.
