How to run a project?

Hello! I develop in php, namely the yii2 framework. Difficulties arise in project management... How to set tasks? How to get feedback on the project from clients? How can a client write tasks to a developer? Well, and so on. Interested in the whole how this process should proceed. What services do you use? Share your experience!)
Previously, I tried to write everything in a notepad, but this is horror) I would like to use services. Or explain how to write in a notepad)))

Use Jira , the client logs in, creates a task, indicates the time to complete, the priority of the task, attaches the necessary materials, in the same place you note the status of the task, the time spent, you can comment on the task and ask questions to the client

Redmine, when I used it, seemed to me the best tool for project management. Now Jira is more popular, although it is a bug tracker and can be developed with plugins to a project management system. Although, IMHO, in Redmine the same thing works better out of the box.
Well, not an unimportant factor, Redmine is free, Jira is paid, and you need to pay for almost every plugin.

From foreign ones, I actively use Asana for myself and at work - https://app.asana.com/ - in fact, this is a simple list of tasks with tags, performers, subtasks, comments, etc. Free for a small number of developers.
