How to resurrect Windows 98?
Good day. I have a PC with Windows 98 in my park and it suddenly began to swear when it was turned on, displaying the following inscription:
type the name of the command interpreter (eg c:\windows\command.com)
and after the inscription it simply throws it into the command line:
C>
And does not respond to commands displaying stupidly the first inscription constantly.
I have encountered 98 a couple of times in my life. Can someone more experienced tell me where to dig and how to resurrect it? It is advisable to save all installed software and simply restore the system boot.

Type win, press Enter and see what happens.
Everything is fine, it's just that the graphics are not loaded and you are thrown into DOS.
PS I shed a tear.
Try typing the filename c:\command.com or c:\windows\command.com .
If it does not work, then the file does not exist or it is damaged - boot from a floppy / CD / USB flash drive and copy the command.com file from WIndows 98 (having previously found it on old disks or the Internet) to c:\ or c:\windows\
