How to restore the home folder to its original state?
There was a misfortune, accidentally, while in the home directory, I pressed rm -r * = and everything was gone.
I got into ./.config/user-dirs.dirs, the paths there were empty, added the following
XDG_DESKTOP_DIR="$HOME/Desktop"
XDG_DOWNLOAD_DIR="$HOME/Downloads"
XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR="$HOME/Templates"
XDG_PUBLICSHARE_DIR="$HOME/ Public"
XDG_DOCUMENTS_DIR="$HOME/Documents"
XDG_MUSIC_DIR="$HOME/Music"
XDG_PICTURES_DIR="$HOME/Pictures"
XDG_VIDEOS_DIR="$HOME/Videos"
After that, I created the Desktop/ Downloads/ Images/ folder in my home directory, etc. .
But for some reason, all these directories appear on the desktop.
How to solve this problem

The fact that they appeared on the desktop is very strange. If you didn’t mix anything up for sure, then just re-enter the profile, it should be picked up.
Only rm
automated, regular and reliable backups can cure you :)
