How to restore MFT if external hard drive asks for formatting?
The external hard toshiba 1tb, which was not determined at one moment for 5 years, then wrote that it required formatting, as I understand it, the MFT flew off. R-studio says mft is outside the boundaries of the disk, but it finds data, SMART says that the disk is healthy. free recuva writes - no MFT was found in your alcohol - so not an option for my case.
CHKDSK said: it costs ntfs, but cannot access the disk...
What free tools are there to fix mft or porsto data recovery? (r-studio asks for $80, which is a bit too much for me)

The free version of Paragon Manager
or the recovery kit
by Victoria, look at SMART (and you can just scan it), maybe "this is no accident"
Try FileRecovery, GetDataBack tested on personal experience = works. After the Petya infection in 2017, these programs helped a lot. These programs are in MultiBoot.
"They will help restore the data but not restore the table.
(Probably no longer relevant to you, but maybe it will help someone)
DMDE helped me out in a similar situation. Not free, but worth every penny.
Yes, the program is designed for an advanced user and you need to understand what you are doing, but there are automatic search and recovery modes that work almost as well as GetDataBack.
I restored MFT from MFT Mirror, everything went like clockwork.
