How to restore grub after Ubuntu upgrade?
After updating Ubuntu and rebooting the computer, grub does not list operating systems, but only the grub rescue console appears, tried to restore grub for everyone. First I used the rescue mod - I typed ls in the console, I was given a list of axes, then not being sure which of these axes ubuntu had, I checked them all with the commands: set prefix=…, set root=… and ls /boot/ grub generally did everything as indicated here help.ubuntu.ru/wiki/%D0%B2%D0%BE%D1%81%D1%81%D1%82...in the recovery partition with rescue . All the axes except one after typing ls /boot/grub gave an unknown filesystem, one of the axes gave some path , so I thought that this was my Ubuntu. Next, I typed insmod ext2, and then insmod normal, after which he wrote me error: file not found, although, judging by the instructions, everything should have gone smoothly. I tried to insert a flash drive on which I should have had an Ubuntu launcher, but nothing has changed, the same grub rescue, only after typing ls among the axes another one appeared on the new disk, which, after the commands set prefix=..., set root =...,ls /boot/grub/ also gave unknown file system. What am I doing wrong? Tell me please. It is desirable to know how to still restore grub without livecd / USB.

Something absolutely terrible. Still, make a Live USB and see what you have with the system, from under usb it will be easier to restore grub.
