How to reset the BIOS on a laptop?
Notebook Samsung np530u4b. I need to change the boot settings (efi / uefi), but there is a password that I do not know. I tried to reset the bios:
I took off the battery with the battery, waited a day - it did not reset. I closed the contacts on the battery connector, I didn’t find anything else on the board - it didn’t help. Booted from a USB flash drive into Ubuntu, tried to "kill" cmos - did not kill.

In general, the problem turned out to be non-existent. The BIOS was reset after my manipulations, but I don’t know exactly after which one. The bottom line is that the password to enter the settings is DEFAULT, Carl! Solved the problem using the BIOS password generator. The password, specifically on my laptop, was - "1"! Just "1"! Thanks to everyone who answered and did not remain indifferent.
1 - did not try to look in the manual?
2 - in Google ? it seems that there is even a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KABXQdegwe8 (but with such videos it is necessary according to the principle - look 7 times and think about whether it is worth doing this))
