How to reset password in iOS 7.0 firmware version? Or how to roll it back to an existing backup?

Updated iPhone to 7.0 During the process of setting up a new firmware, a 4-character password was requested to activate the "find my iPhone" function. Entered 4 digits ... entered 2 times, remembered. I did exactly the same on the iPad - the same numbers, the same apple id. After that, the iPad is unlocked with this code without problems, and the iPhone is unlocked a couple of times, and then just stops doing it. He writes an incorrect password and after 10 entries it is blocked for a while.
Question: How to reset the password in 7.0 firmware version? Or how to roll it back to an existing backup?
ps due to the fact that the search function for the location of the device is activated on the phone, any attempts to download a backup from iTunes lead to a request to turn off the phone search option in the device menu, which is not possible by definition, because. unable to access the menu. An attempt to bypass the screen with a hole announced today on Habré does not give access to the settings.
You can find the phone through iCloud, but it does not allow you to change anything. Unless it allows you to erase data. I'm wondering after erasing the data, the phone just resets or dies to the service center?
ZY: The question is not mine. A friend asked to place it, since the phone is needed 24/7.
UPD1: I switched the phone to DFU
and then started restoring it with iTunes ... Well, at some stage it throws an error 4000

In general, there is a solution.
“If you remember what I did exactly after the 4000 error, then these are approximately the following actions: I pressed and held the power key and the home key until it was completely turned off. At the same time, the phone was disconnected from the wire. After the phone turned off I tried to turn it on. The phone turned on and requested a connection to iTunes. After that, the recovery was complete. iTunes then requested to activate the phone using the old AppleID. After activation, the data saved in iTunes was synchronized with the updated phone. The procedure for setting a four-character password is standard and cannot be avoided. The only thing I did immediately after I completed the initial settings was to turn off the password lock protection in the settings (settings - basic - password protection) ”
