How to rename user folder in Win8.1?

Now, in the age of unicode, it's hard to expect a program to not understand non-ASCII characters in the path to the configuration file, but still. The wonderful program GNAT GPL (and it is weird a lot and often) stubbornly refuses to work on my laptop because of the Cyrillic username. And, in fact, the question is: how to rename the user's folder without greatly disrupting the system?
Error text, if anyone is interested:

Cannot create config directory C:\Users\□□□□□\.gps\
Exiting...

P.S. Do not offer to create another user to work with this program, there is too much trouble with this. And there is no desire to install Linux either.

No way. Has it become easier?) Grant rights to work under another user. And create a folder for that without Cyrillic. Well, in general ... it's not about Windows or Inux ... my friend's crooked hands. At the developers.
