With which Acronis thread you make an image of the system, format the disk and use the same Acronis to restore the system from the image. True, the image will have to be stored somewhere. Either a flash drive, or an external HDD, or somewhere on the network. Depends on the size of the resulting image.

1 - literally - no. you can't
2 - all tricks with acronis and so on - it's like writing "%7№" on a blackboard with chalk.. erase with a rag .. and write again
3 - what do you want? what is the purpose? clean Windows? the best way is to reinstall it from the original distribution ... but all the files dear to the heart, back up in advance

if Windows 7 and below - no way.
if 10, then restore to the original form with saving the data.
another way is to install Acronis Disk Director or similar. split C into two sections. copy the data to the second and format C.

Do not invent garbage, Windows has a "return to factory settings" function. At the same time, she asks "Would you like to clean the disk during the operation?".
And after deploying the image, Akronis will return everything AS WELL AS IT WAS BEFORE .
