How to remove fingerprint watermark from userpic on Windows Logon Screen?

What I tried:
Booted from Windows PE CD
Opened C:\Windows\System32\BioCredProv.dll
Using resource hacker, I changed 2 pictures (red and blue) with a finger watermark to 2 empty white bmp.
BUT: After loading Windows, everything is as usual.
I open the file after downloading with ResourceHacker and see the old version with watermarks.
Where to dig?
