Leave it only on the main page, what's the problem? This feature is a basic feature. Find the slider in the module manager, and in the module settings in the "binding to menu items" section, select the one you need.

In addition to @cyber-jet's answer - unless the carousel is integrated into the template, which it can be too. In this case, you need to edit the template, move the carousel to a separate module and link it there only to the main page.
