How to remotely control Windows Phone from a regular Desktop?
I would like to see everything that is happening on the smartphone screen at the moment and be able to click on certain interface elements.

WP emulator included with VS2013. There you do not connect directly to your phone, but to a virtual one, but launched with your live ID. That is, all contacts, settings, etc. are available in the emulator.
