How to reduce the resolution on a laptop from UltraHD to FullHD?

Acer laptop, some programs do not display correctly due to high pixel density, and the Windows screen resolution settings scale the image too much or stretch the image, i.e. do not give an average result. Is there a special software for adjusting the display resolution? Perhaps the question was asked incorrectly, unfortunately, I'm not well versed in technology.

The correct way to fix this is to adjust the monitor's DPI .
