The story is as follows: the other day a friend gave me his portable hard drive so that I could copy the image of Windows from there.
In view of, I suspect, my negligence, I accidentally completely formatted it ...
The fact is that there were 3 sections on that disk in which the files he needed were stored.

Or maybe some other way to solve this problem?

If the files are really important, then I would advise taking the hard recovery specialists and fully describing the situation to them. If the formatting was not deep, they will help.
