How to record the sound of a specific application on Windows?

How to record the sound of a specific application on Windows? If possible, then through Audacity or Adobe Audition. But the sound from the microphone and other programs should not be heard on the recording.

purchase an additional sound card (any usb, for example) or find a virtual driver (I didn’t see any free ones, but I didn’t look for them), respectively, select this second card in the program and sound recording and record.

Here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9N0FzrMGFg it is proposed to do this by creating a virtual audio cable. And then, through any recording program, record only this cable.
