How to receive email so that the very fact of receipt is not disclosed?

Good day! There is an interesting question. Imagine we have a mailing address: [email protected], how can I make it so that I can read a letter that was sent there from a "clean device", but my mail.ru did not know about it?
My version. Is he correct? When we receive a letter to [email protected], we forward it to [email protected], and then to [email protected] and do this several dozen times, and read from the last address.

“One should not multiply things unnecessarily.”

The point is that it is enough to have one of your own mail servers on the cheapest VPS (no DOs) to collect your mail anytime, anywhere without prying eyes (who consider it their duty to poke their nose into every mailbox). For added security, you can connect to your server through another VPN to avoid identification through traffic matching on the server's IP. But even without these bells and whistles in the basic version, this scheme provides a much higher level of security than any chains of boxes on FOREIGN servers.

anonymity) is somehow dubious ..
About 8 years ago, there was a need to do so, via smtp they sent an encrypted letter to the server, the recipient received it via imap already with a decoder
