How to receive donation notifications from PayPal?

I need to parse data - donation amount, currency and comment. How to do it? I could not understand the API, the documentation is very stupidly compiled there. I can’t get an e-mail either, since the stick does not accept any of my cards, and the other person could not log in at all. Maybe someone has an example of a letter or someone knows how to work with the API?
