How to raise the WIFI adapter through the terminal?

Literally just installed the live version of kali, in it, in the terminal - zero knowledge.
The wireless WIFI adapter in Kali Linux does not work, I rummaged a little on the Internet and found a couple of similar situations, they talked about cases when the device is not detected when the iwconfig command is written. My answer was:
# iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.
wlan0 IEEE 802.11 ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=20 dBm
Retry short limit:7 RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:off
Power Management:off
eth0 no wireless extensions.
I also found the ifup wlan0 command, which, in theory, should include this adapter. But it didn't work:
# ifup wlan0
ifup: unknown interface wlan0

Linux and WiFi are a pain. With drivers, it’s already so bad here, but with wireless devices, it’s all seams. Most likely it won't go up.
But you can google for the name of the WiFi dongle and its compatibility with Linux.
And so - in vain you climb into Kali, it is futile.
