How to raise a webserver with ftp on an old computer without UI with command line?

Good day! A long time ago I bought a new computer and left the old one, there was an enthusiasm to raise it as a hosting for my sites at home.
I don’t understand system administration at all, I can only create websites ...
I tried to install Ubuntu Server, installed it, and then it’s a stupor and it’s somehow difficult, but I don’t want an OS with UI either.
What advice would you give to a newbie at this?

I want such a stack of knowledge in order to be recommended to me in order to raise a web server.

Looking ahead, I will say that this is not a rewarding business ... A passed stage for everyone, IMHO. And you pass.
I always did it according to this principle:
1) CentOS7 is clean without a GUI in the "minimal configuration"
2) You roll hosting panels from above: try VestaCP. You will be interested. There's an old PHP 5.6 chtoli out of the box, but in order to roll on top of a newer one, you need to work pretty hard. Either there will be no choice of versions, or PMA will be covered ... Fun in general.
As a result, having sorted through 3-4 panels, I bought (at that time it was still possible to buy) an eternal ISPmanager license with a 50% discount. Now they only sell subscriptions.
And now, at home, the computer stands with external drives and merges backups from other cloud servers onto them, and Hetzner hosting on the top cloud with 99.9999999% uptime and the eternal ISPmanager panel, which has been updated to the latest fresh one.

Google.
First, google the article on how to install the same Apache on Ubuntu - unless of course you installed it at the installation stage.
Install Apache. Admire the test page, install the DBMS - there are also a lot of articles in Google, and slowly solve the problems that arise and learn to work with Linux.
If the task is simply to raise the web and ftp - again, Google.
raise it as a host for your home sites.
Not the best idea. Except to play around. In general, a server at home is sometimes beneficial, but not always.
If we are talking about hosting, it is usually better to buy hosting - it is both cheaper and easier. Well, hosting, unlike the old computer, does not make noise.
