How to quickly extract large archives on Windows?

On Linux, I have large archives (from 500 MB and above) extracted in a couple of seconds, on Windows it can take up to 2 hours.

Is it possible to achieve the same extraction speed on Windows? if so, how?

Use 7-zip instead of standard zip folders.

How to quickly extract large archives on Windows?
Depends on the contents of the archive, the method of archiving, and the characteristics of the computer - memory, processor, disk.
A banal change in the compression ratio or a change in the archiving algorithm can speed up or slow down the process of extracting an archive by an order of magnitude.
Also the contents of the archive - if there are large files, then a modern HDD will save them at a speed of about 100-150mb / s
. And if there are small ones, then the speed will be about 1mb / s maximum.

Perhaps the antivirus is slowing down the process.
