How to put ubuntu "no root file system is defined"?
Hello. I am new to linux. I decided to put ubuntu next to my windows 8. Having entered gparted, I cut off about 300 gigs from my disk c, after that the file system label became unallocated. Partitioned this disk into 3 partitions home with ext4 extension, swap - linux-swap and root - ext4. After that I tried to install ubuntu on the root partition, but it gave the error "no root file system is defined". I read in the manuals that you need to put a mount point label, but I did not have this field anywhere when splitting and I can not find it anywhere. When clicking on the created partition with the right button, the mount property is not available. What is the problem? By the way, I have gpt.

It seems to me that you simply did not specify which of the sections is the root. This is done by specifying the mount point "/" (this is the root), see the picture
