How to provide proof of authorship of the product?

Hello, there is a problem: a cheat (not software, but specifically modified internal files) that I sell, is now being resold by my buyer. To block it, I need proof of my authorship of these files.
In my case, the cheat is not made by an exe file and is not protected by anything, it is not attached to the PC to the hard drive, and so on. It consists of several files.

You changed game files that were not originally yours. What kind of copyright is it? In addition, the license agreement of the game will most likely contain a clause prohibiting the use of cheats.

IANAL, TINLA.

The one who told you this - he probably told you what evidence he considers convincing?
Or did your inner devil's advocate tell you that? If you have distributed your work publicly, then you can assume that he is still too picky.
But keep in mind that there is an opinion that if the rights to make changes to the “game” were not returned to you by its owners at all, or they were returned on the condition that the derivative should remain free ... in short - if you distribute your work violated their monopoly, then starting repression against someone else for exactly the same thing, you are somewhat substituted.
