How to protect yourself from losing files?

I draw websites. And so it turned out that in some strange way (hands are crooked, apparently) deleted the main file irrevocably. I had to do everything again.
The situation repeated itself some time later.
Advise a solution that will make a copy of the files I save. For example, for individual folders. Everything to be automated. Without my subsequent participation. Thank you.
ps: looked towards synchronization with cloud storages (yandex.disk). but it doesn't work, because during auto synchronization, the deletion will also take place on the server.

In your case, the standard file shadow copying mechanism will help against accidental deletion - set up shadow copies, and you can roll back changes to the last shadow copy at any time, or restore the deleted file present in the previous shadow copy.
This does not replace a backup, but a backup is made much less often - for example, once a day, or once a week, and stored elsewhere.
And shadow copies are stored on the same computer, and unlike backups, they are made instantly, so they can be done every hour.

Dropbox is paid (there are file versions).
There is also a basket in Yadisk, you can get a deleted file from it.

Look - there are many programs for any backup. Not quite automatically, but in the worst case, you will lose your job in a day or even less.

Here cloud storages are not your helpers.
Apple Time Machine + Time Capsule.
