How to properly use DropBox Api Php?

Good afternoon, there is a task, I don’t understand, maybe I didn’t understand correctly how the DropBox Api works, but please explain.
I have a website and that every new picture uploaded by the user is stored on my DropBox (I have an account and created an application). But I don’t understand something there, the user must be authenticated? And why do I just need the site to send pictures to my, namely my DropBox, can this be done?
