How to properly test the site when it is received from the developer?

When accepting work from a web studio, the task arose to test a news website for shortcomings and bugs (a site based on CMS Camaleon, Ruby on Rails). Is there any typical procedure for checking on acceptance? Maybe there are some ready-made lists that you can go through so as not to miss anything when looking for errors and shortcomings?

- Click through the pages of the site on behalf of a "normal person" and on behalf of a "monkey" (in discord, in the wrong order).
- Record actions using some iMacros to automate at least a little
