How to properly set up a map site?
I just have a card, but maybe that's not enough.

It's best to send a link to the sitemap.
If you have a standard CMS, then in 99% it can do a sitemap correctly. The exception is Bitrix, in which several cards are made, and it happens that Google does not eat them all (which is not a problem, since the presence of a link in the sitemap does not guarantee indexation)
Basic recommendations:
- Check the map with validators
- Do not place more than 50,000 in the sitemap links.
- Specify a high priority for important pages of the site, but do not set a high priority for all pages
- Do not make a map from several files unnecessarily
- Write the path to the map in robots
- Place important pages in the site map, do not try to put everything at once
- Do not place in the map pages that are blocked by robots or have a canonical tag on other pages.
- Specify lastmod for frequently updated pages on the site.
If your map meets the recommendations above, then it is done correctly.
