How to properly set up a home network?

Friends, the bottom line is this: I want to find a very detailed guide to setting up a network from scratch. Starting from the difference between WAN, LAN and Wireless in the router settings, the difference between dynamic and static IP and ending with disconnecting unwanted users from the network.

I'll add a colleague.
Wireless - aka Wi-Fi - is a technology for transmitting data over the air, without the use of wires, or, as a synonym, a physical data transmission medium built on a radio path. There are several bands, protocols and frequencies for this medium. Modern and most common: G, N, A, AC and BGN mix. The frequency bands are built around two "reference frequencies" - 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The channel width is 5,10,20,40,80 and 100 MHz.
On top of most physical or virtual environments, the Ethernet data transfer protocol runs.

We build a network with our own hands and connect it to the Internet ...

In short:
1. Use standards (for cables)
2. Make sockets a little more than you can think of in the first step
3. Better use cables than WiFi. It is better to install shielded twisted-pair cable of category 6 or 6A. Don't forget to ground the shield.
4. Buy MicroTik as an all-water. Both router and switch.
5. The DNS on your network must be yours, not your ISP's.
in short, everything. Everything else will come with time. :)
