How to properly reorganize a site with subdomains to a site with subdirectories?
Good afternoon. There is a site on wordpress, which works in multisite mode. There are subdomains with different cities, in total there are site.ru, ekb.site.ru, kzn.site.ru and others. The content on subdomains is 100% the same as the content on the main site, only the title, description, YandexMap for a specific city with an office tag and h1 headings (city names are added) differ. The management decided to move away from subdomains. As an option, the possibility of organizing the site into subdirectories is being considered. Please tell me how best to organize the structure of the site, if you use subdirectories. For example, is it worth it. There is a contact page on the Ekaterinburg subdomain - ekb.site.ru/contacts, and will become site.ru/ekb/contacts. But here I have a question, you will get a duplicate content on one domain.
Or should you not use a subdirectory at all and just use wordpress without enabling the multisite option? How then, in this case, to link information with different cities on one site?
If I failed to explain the problem well, please comment on it.

If the task is to get away from subdomains, but at the same time leave the division by regionality, then the solution is in subdirectories. Subdirectories for Yandex are worse because they cannot specify the region in the webmaster, but subdomains can. Therefore, if you still want to keep the regional division, it is better to leave subdomains. If you don’t leave subdomains at all, then you can still make directories according to exactly the same principle as subdomains, Yandex will understand that this is a regional division if there are different titles \ headings \ contacts, it will not consider duplicates.
