How to properly install Git (git-scm.com)?

Good afternoon, I installed Git about three years ago according to some guide, I don’t remember already.
I recently changed my computer, had to reinstall everything, downloaded Git (git-scm.com) and started installing it, and there, in new versions, more and more different installation options appeared.
I searched on the Internet, I did not find guides for installing new versions.
Therefore, simply without reading (from the English problems), "further - further" clicked on the default.
It seems that everything plows, if you leave everything by default like that, won't it grunt in the future?
How do you install Git in general, what parameters do you change?

Do not install it, install the usual git console + GitHub Desktop and you will be fine
