How to properly implement heating in a server enterprise?
Something interesting happened to us six months ago. In 50 degree frost, a freshly welded battery exploded. At two o'clock in the morning I received a call from the dispatcher that there was water knee-deep and they could not find a valve. Five minutes later, I'm there ... I turn off the valve ... I open the door and go nuts. Everything really floats on the very eggs .. and literally a couple of centimes was not enough to get to the outlet. There is steam in the room itself (coolant 90 degrees). Equipment with passive cooling survived =) and one self-made server ... It was in a regular case and a good through broach was implemented. For the first time, I saw how something flashes with buttons in a pair .... water flows down the vidyuhi to the bottom of the system unit ... shielding the network card from water. By the way, the server was dried and put back on combat duty. =D True vidyuha did not survive this bullying.
In general, it was decided to restore the server room. First floor. It stands right on the ground (on the foundation). 2 walls lead to the street. Peak minus temperature somewhere - 54. Any ideas? =)
