How to properly connect this backplane to this controller?

There is such a backplane - https://www.supermicro.com/manuals/other/BPN-SAS-8... and an Adaptec 81605Z controller.
Do I understand correctly that each of the JSM1-JSM6 connectors provides four ports for connecting SAS devices?
That is, to connect 12 drives, I need to take three Mini-SAS cables (SFF-8087 - SFF-8087) and connect them to the backplane?
