How to properly configure Mikrotik'a hap ac2 in repeater mode?

Good afternoon!
Please tell me: It is necessary temporarily (while copper is stretching between them) to increase the wifi network. There are 2 microtics hap ac2. Since they have two ranges - which one is better to use for amplification?
I came up with three options:
1) Use a 5 Hz channel to connect two Mikrotiks, and put clients only on 2.4 Hz
2) Use a 2.4 Hz channel to connect Mikrotiks, and say clients on 5 Hz 3) Use a 5 Hz channel
for everything - both connecting Mikrotiks and clients, turn off 2.4 Hz so as not to create an extra load on the wifi module
Or is there not much difference? And choose which is more stable - higher speed?
Also is there any difference to connect between Connect List and Setup Repeater ?

@skwertik

It seems to me that option 1) in a hurry is better, but only if there is a small distance between the devices and there is no visible interference. But clients will definitely pick up, 99% support 2.4 GHz.
Try the Setup Repeater function, it seems to be the easiest way. The Connect List, on the other hand, defines the access points to which the device can be connected (connect-list is used to assign priority and security settings to connections with remote access points, and to restrict allowed connections).
In general, here's a wiki for you , it's wonderful.
