How to properly clean (free up) disk memory on macOS?

Faced with the problem of filling the memory on the disk. They write everywhere that third-party applications, such as "clean my mac" and others, are useless, and you can clean it yourself much more efficiently and better, through standard applications, you just need to learn this. Please give recommendations where this information can be found, and how to learn to leave those files that at first glance may seem like "garbage"

1. It's best to run CleanMyMac, clean it up, then you can delete it.
2. Look for large programs
3. Delete files that take up more space than it says
4. Check your Mac with an antivirus.

For starters, I would run BootCamp. At one of the first stages (before installing Windows), it cleans up local copies of Time Machine. If the backup was not done or was done, but for a long time, this can free up a lot of space. https://habr.com/ru/company/parallels/blog/351128/
It would not be bad to delve into the "Libraries" folder (~Library). It can be accessed from the Finder via the "go" menu while holding down the Option button. There can be a lot of garbage in Logs.
